Supreme Court orders CVC to complete investigation against CBI director Alok Verma in two weeks.

Calling the matter one of “national importance” that cannot accept any delay, CJI Ranjan Gogoi, Justice S K Kaul and Justice K M Joseph said a retired Supreme Court judge would supervise the CVC probe “because of the importance of the case for the country and is a onetime exception without casting aspersions on any constitutional or statutory authority.”
